Aguada Fort

Fort Aguada is located on Sinquerim Beach, North Goa district. The Fort was constructed in 1612 by Portuguese rulers to save from Marathas and Dutch invaders. Daily numbers of tourist come to visits its light house and Fort walls. Currently mostly Fort's lands covered by 'Fort Aguada Beach Resort' five stars hotels accommodation which owned The Indian Hotels Co. (TATA Group).

It is situated at the shore of the Mandovi River where it dropped into Arabian Sea. This fort also has a light house which was built in 1864. It is oldest light house in whole Asia continent. Portuguese used 79 cannons to protect this for from invaders. This fort also had 2,376,000 gallons water storage capacity to storage.
