Tomb of Safdarjung New Delhi Holiday Destination

Safdarjung tomb history:- It is a historical monument which dedicated to Safdarjung; it was built in 1754 by Nawab Shujaud Daula with Mughal Empire style. This building was built by sandstone and marble; this compound also has a big and beautiful garden. Nawab Shujaud Daula requested to Mughal Emperor to build this monument and got land from Emperor. Safadarjung is a powerful and rich person who real name was Mirza Muqim Abul Mansur Khan. This man ruled on Awadh; after Safdarjung death his son built his tomb in New Delhi.

Safdarjung tomb location:- It is located just near of the Safdarjung Airport which is situated on the t point of the Aurobindo road and Lodhi road, Race Club and New Delhi. Its opening time is 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM every day while closed a particular government holiday like 2 October, 26th January and 15th August.

Safdarjung tomb entry fee is Rs.5/- per head of the Indian and Rs. 100/- from foreigners tourists. The tomb department also charge Rs. 25/- for video camera. Safdarjung tomb nearest metro stations is Race course and INA. People can get this tomb from both metro stations easily.
