Goa State Museum is placed in Panjim city, north Goa district which was established in 1996. The museum has approx 8,000 artefacts to show. The museum has old age coins, paintings, bronzes object, stone sculptures and wooden objects. These objects are related of the Jain, Christian and Hindu religion related. The museum has 14 galleries to show objects like Geology Gallery, Sculpture Gallery, Natural Heritage of Goa Gallery, Printing History Gallery, Goa’s Freedom Struggle Gallery, Religious Expression Gallery, Contemporary Art Gallery and Furniture Gallery. Goa Museum timing is 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday but Sunday closed. Its entry fee is free to all people.
